We offer all styles of dance and dancers are able to pick and chose the style of dance they would like to study and how much time they would like to commit to dance. Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and AcroDance are all the styles offered at Platinum Dance Company. We are conveniently located on Marysville’s downtown street, on the North side of the 800 block, next door to Sunflower Credit Union and across from United Bank & Trust.
Platinum Dance Company is owned and operated by Makenzie Kroeger, of Axtell, KS. Makenzie moved to the Marshall County area in 2010. She grew up in a suburb of Kansas City (Liberty, MO) with a passion for all things dance. Starting dance at the young age of 3 and dancing until a senior in high school, 10 of those years being competitively. Makenzie studied dance at the Conservatory of Dance Education (better known as CODE) under the direction of Phil Vitug, an award winning, national title holding, dance studio serving the Kansas City metropolitan area. After moving to Axtell, Makenzie was drawn to dance and teaching and her dream of opening a studio took flight. After many years of planning, Platinum Dance Company found it’s way to Marysville. Makenzie opened in June 2018 for a 6 week Summer Session and then in August for a PDC’s first official season! The response from the community has been so positive and supportive and the growth of PDC has been fast growing! We’re excited for the future and the many opportunities we hope to bring to dancers in Northeast Kansas!
